Epson WorkForce Pro and Expression Workforce Printers

Epson's WorkForce Pro and Expression lines offer a wide variety of printers, from large-format photo printers to all-in-one family units. In the latter category, the company's EcoTank models use refillable ink tanks that dramatically lower costs and eliminate the need for replacement cartridges. There's even a line of business-class laser printers with impressive print and scan speeds.

Epson offers a range of models to fit any budget, from the $110 WorkForce WF-2930 all-in-one inkjet to the more pricey WorkForce Pro WF-4830 AIO. In both cases, the company's PrecisionCore Heat-Free Technology printheads deliver solid prints with high resolution and excellent detail. The WorkForce Pro WF-4830 also includes an automatic document feeder and a fax function for extra versatility.

Both of these printers use a four-cartridge system with Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black ink. They both have Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, plus a USB port in a covered compartment to the left of the control panel that lets you print from or scan directly to a USB thumb drive. They can also work with a number of mobile apps, including Apple AirPrint and Mopria Print Service, as well as Epson Connect for remote printing, email printing, and scanning directly into desktop programs.

The WF-4830's print quality is a bit below average for an all-in-one, but its speed makes up for it. It churned out our black-and-white tests at about 10 pages per minute (ppm) and color at about five ppm, which is faster than all but the fastest inkjets in this class. The duplex print engine worked well, although it smeared the edges of our test documents with some double-sided pages.

As for the scanner, it's one of the best in this class for scanning tabloid-sized documents. It can automatically process both sides of a page, and the flatbed scanner also supports optical character recognition for searchable PDFs and other documents.  Men Vi Sinh Xử Lý Đáy Ao  are solid, and its physical keypad next to the display screen helps you quickly send a fax without having to open an app.

Overall, the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4830 is an excellent all-in-one that can handle a high volume of documents and photos. It's easy to set up and operate, and it has a lot of features that make it a great choice for a busy office or home.

The HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 is a better choice for an all-in-one with similar features, but it's slower in both printing and scanning, and its color accuracy isn't as good. In addition, the HP's ADF can duplex scan a two-sided document in one pass, which is much faster than the Epson's ADF and could save you time. However, the Epson has a better selection of mobile apps and more user-friendly scan functions, making it our pick. Read Tom's Guide for a full review of this model.
